Easter Egg Hunt At Home
We did a quick and simple egg hunt at home before breakfast. We had the eggs from the egg hunting the kids had done at school couple of days back. So I reused them and filled with things that I could find around the house this morning while the kids were getting ready.
- Almonds
- Walnuts
- Cashews
- Raisins
- Craisins
- Cheese Rocket Crackers
- Snackimals Cereal
- Choco Chimps Cereal
- Jelly Fruit Snacks
- 1 Taffy
- 1 Chocolate Coin
- A few hand written coupons for – a visit to the Park, cook or bake with me, a trip to frozen yogurt place or starbucks or jamba juice, etc.
- Fun tapes
- Erasers
- Little notepads
- Yo yo
- Stickers
- Mini Slingy
(all these mini toys were what they had received in goody bags and never used and forgotten).
My husband and I then hid the eggs around the rooms and the kids couldn’t wait to go find them!
I wrote their initials on the eggs so that they could both get all the treats. They quickly found all the eggs, opened them and one of them even made an inventory of all his treats in his mini notebook 🙂
They ate all the snacks they found with their breakfast and have played with their new toys.
No waste, no money spent, just some fun and exciting activity for the kids!
