Lanterns made with empty tin cans
Category :
I am always looking for ways to reuse and recycle materials. And this turned out to be a fun project for the family using the tin cans saved from my kitchen.
All we needed was empty cans, a nail and hammer. I drew simple patterns on the cans using a marker and we started hammering holes. Any pattern or even random holes made on the tins looks great with candles lit in them.
I also did another fun activity with my 3 year olds. I gave them a small tub of water and they played for a long time filling water in their cans and seeing how it fell out through the holes.
