I had a bunch of bottle caps lying around after I used the bottles for making flowers. On a lazy weekend afternoon, I brought them out and handed them to the kids along with some of their stickers that were lying around. I told them to put one sticker inside each cap. A great activity for little ones to develop fine motor skills.

Once we had all the caps ready, I brought out a tray and poured some rice on it – to help the caps stay in place instead of moving around. I picked a few pairs of caps with similar stickers, mixed them up and laid them out on the tray. The kids then looked for each pair to play the game.

Although the kids had fun putting stickers on several caps, we used only a few to start with, adding on more to advance to next levels.

The kids have played with these caps quietly for long periods of time. They have also used the caps to make different shapes.
