3 Ingredient Apricot Jam
I had received some freshly picked ripe apricots from a friend’s yard. Although I am not a fan of apricots, these were yummy and very ripe. So, I decided to make some jam.
The jam turned out great. Tasted sweet and tangy! And loved the beautiful caramel orange color.
The recipe is very simple..
What you’ll need:
- Ripe Apricots (cleaned, pitted and quartered) – 6 cups
- Raw Sugar – 3 cups
- Lemon (Juice and Zest) – 1
Method:
1.Mix all ingredients in a large pan and bring the mixture to a boil.
2. Let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes. Done!
3. Pour into glass jars and let it cool. Store in the refrigerator.
Tip: You can do this freezer test to see if the jam is done or not –
Put a plate in the freezer for about 10 to 15 minutes. When you think the jam looks ready, turn off the heat. Take the plate out of freezer and pour a spoonful of jam on the cold plate. Put back in the freezer and let sit for 1 to 2 minutes. Take out and when you push the jam with finger, it should wrinkle and not fill back in the gap. If it runs, then cook some more.
