A Simple Indian Thali Dinner
A simple and casual Indian Thali dinner for a weekend night. There is some mix of North and South Indian styles in here, and it is definitely most kid friendly.
- Toor Dal with Ginger, Green Chilies, Onion and Tomato, topped with Kasoori Methi
- Sauteed Cauliflower with Tomato and Curry Leaf seasoning
- Cucumber, Tomato Onion Raita seasoned with Mustard, Dal and Chili, topped with Cilantro (very typical Karnataka style)
- Rice Sandige/Crispies/papad (also from Karnataka)
- Freshly made Ghee
- Steamed White Rice
Kids are awesome at helping in setting the table!! Cutlery, Napkins, Water and the Strawberry Kefir that they had. Its the weekend after all, so a special drink!
Oh and they love to pour their ghee on their own. So had theirs in small cups 🙂
